Known to millions as a cast member on the hit VH1 series Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, K. Michelle celebrated her blockbuster album, “REBELLIOUS SOUL” by headlining “The Rebellious Soul Tour” late last year and opening for Robin Thicke on his “Blurred Lines Tour” at the top of 2014. The acclaimed album made a stunning #1 debut atop Billboard’s “Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums” and entered the overall SoundScan/Billboard 200 at #2 – the highest debut on the main chart for a female R&B singer's first album since March 2001. “REBELLIOUS SOUL” is highlighted by the hit singles, “V.S.O.P.” and “Can’t Raise A Man.” In addition to its massive popular success, “REBELLIOUS SOUL” has also received widespread critical applause, with the New York Times hailing it as a “milestone…it has the confidence of survival.” Vibe praised Michelle’s “triumphant vocals,” singling out “V.S.O.P.” as “energetic and infectious…(the album’s) shining star.” The companion video for “V.S.O.P.” has garnered over 5 million views and K. Michelle’s current single, “Can’t Raise A Man” has earned over 3.5 million views on her official YouTube channel. K. Michelle performed these two tracks at the Soul Train Awards in Las Vegas last year, where she took home the Best New Artist Award. K. Michelle also won the award for Outstanding New Artist at this year’s NAACP Image Awards.

In addition to her music, K. has another passion that she is constantly working on with her Rebel Against campaign, which was born out of her desire to empower her fans to speak out against social and personal hurdles, no matter what they might be. Keeping in the spirit of the album title, “Rebellious Soul”, this national campaign has paired K. Michelle with youth and women’s organizations including Saving Our Daughters. Since the album’s release, K. has spoken at local women’s shelters across the country, inspiring women to #RebelAgainst any negative experiences in their lives -- racism, sexual abuse, domestic violence, cancer, etc -- and move forward with positivity.

K. is currently working on the “Rebellious Soul” musical alongside director Idris Elba, which is set to release later this year. In addition to her musical, K. is currently taping her own show for VH1 and will be back on the road this summer to commence “The Rebellious Soul Tour Part 2.”
